The World's Best Sommelier selects two wines from Le Pech d'André
Andreas Larsson, World's Best Sommelier, has just tasted 500 organic wines from France!
Among the 80 cuvées he selected were two wines from Le Pech d'André:
Cuvée Serment - "the peasant wine":
The vintage tasted is 2022, and the score awarded is 88/100 ("Good" category), with these tasting notes:
"Medium depth of colour with a purple hue. Pure nose, no noticeable oak, red berries, plum, cinnamon and pepper notes. Medium weight and concentration a lighter style with a fresh acidity and supple young fruit with crushed berry flavours, a slight tannic bite towards the finish, medium long finish."
Cuvée Câline - "Syrah without wood or law... or sulfites":
The vintage tasted is 2021, with a score of 90/100 ("Very good" category), with these tasting notes:
"Dark inky colour. Pure nose displaying fresh dark berries, blackberry, plum, garrigue and mild spices without noticeable oak. The palate shows a supple texture with mild tannin, fresh and digest dark fruit with good drinkability and a long savoury finish.."
